Terms of use · Ordering · Guarantee
Nothing is sold on this site, and you hear the price before you try anything on.
These are the terms for using aandbebridalshop.us and for booking a bridal appointment in Austin with a&bé bridal shop on South Congress. The site takes inquiries. The shop takes orders, in person, on paper, after you have seen the number. The panel below answers the questions people actually write in with; the full text follows it.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|

When these terms apply
These terms take effect on September 30, 2026, and that is also the date they were last updated. They apply every time you use aandbebridalshop.us, send us an inquiry, open the support chat or book an appointment through the site. The paper order you sign in the shop for a specific piece has its own terms from the designer, and where the two overlap on that piece, the signed order governs.
Who these terms are with
You are dealing with Aandbebridalshop, trading as a&bé bridal shop at aandbebridalshop.us. The shop is a physical bridal boutique at 1506 S Congress Ave, Austin, Texas 78704, United States. Phone +1 512-580-555. Email [email protected].
We are a retailer. We carry pieces by independent designers and makers, and we fit and alter them in our own workroom. We are not the manufacturer of the gowns, suits, capes and veils on the collection page, and we do not rent anything out.
What the site does, and what it does not
The site shows the kind of pieces we carry, with photographs, fabric notes, spec rows and the basis on which each is priced. It lets you ask about a piece, request a bridal appointment in Austin and talk to a person through the chat. That is the whole job.
It does not sell anything. It does not hold stock levels, reserve a size, take a deposit, store a card or create an account. A photograph shows a sample from a designer's range; the sample in the shop may be a different size, and a made-to-order piece is cut for you, so your gown will not be the one in the picture. Colour on a screen is a guide. Ivory silk crepe under a phone's white balance can read almost grey, which is one reason we would rather you see it on the rail.
Inquiries, and how one becomes an order
Nothing is sold or paid for on this site. Sending the form or a chat message commits you to nothing and commits us to nothing beyond replying. Any figure you see here, or that we mention in a reply before you have been in, is an estimate from a designer's list and not a binding quote.
The route is always the same, and it has four stages:
- You send an inquiry or book through the contact page. We write back to confirm a time.
- At the appointment we ask your name and your pronouns, then your size. You try pieces on. Before each one, we tell you what it costs.
- If you want to order, we fill in the designer's order form with you in the shop: the piece, your measurements, the fabric and colour, the price, the expected delivery window and any deposit the designer asks for.
- You read it and sign it. Only then is there an order, and only between you and the shop for that piece.
We will not take an order over the chat or by reply email. People have asked. The answer is no, because a measurement taken by a partner with a kitchen tape is the most common reason a made-to-order piece arrives wrong.
How pieces are priced
Price is set by the designer, not by us, and we tell you the number before you step into anything. Every piece on the collection page carries its own price basis: per gown, per suit with jacket and trousers priced together, per cape by length, per veil or comb from the maker's list, and so on. All figures are in US dollars (USD), and Texas sales tax is added where it applies.
What changes a price is almost always one of these: a longer lace or train length, a sleeve option, a fabric or colour swap the designer offers at a surcharge, an add-on like the detachable overskirt on the charmeuse jumpsuit, or the designer revising their list. If the list changes between your appointment and your signature, we show you the new figure before you sign. Once the order is signed, the price on it stands for that piece.
Alterations are priced separately and quoted per job after your first fitting. Booking an appointment costs nothing. We do not run "decide today" discounts, and we will not steer you toward the most expensive gown on the floor.
Made-to-order pieces and lead times
Most bridal pieces we carry are cut to order by the designer after you sign. Order at least six months out if the piece is made to order. Four if you like living dangerously. Those are typical ranges across the trade, not a promise; the designer's expected delivery window goes on your order form, and that window is the one that counts.
The failure we see most often is couples ordering too late and then paying rush charges, if the designer offers a rush at all. Many do not. Leave room after delivery for at least two fittings and the alterations between them; a hem and a bustle on a silk gown is rarely a one-week job in wedding season.
A piece cut to your measurements cannot be resold as stock, so once the designer has started it the order generally cannot be cancelled and a deposit toward it is generally not refunded. The exact cancellation terms for that designer are written on the order before you sign it. If the designer is late against the window on your order, we tell you as soon as they tell us, and we work with you on the options, including an off-the-rail sample where one fits.
Wedding dress alterations
Wedding dress alterations in Austin at a&bé are done in our own workroom: hemming, bustles, strap work, sleeve work, taking in and letting out where the seam allowance allows it. Each job is quoted after your first fitting, never before we have seen the piece on you. The quote lists the work and its price; anything we find later that was not on it, we ask about before we do it.
Bring the shoes you think you will wear. Hem length is decided by a heel height, not a mood. If you change shoes after the hem is cut, re-hemming is a new job. We also alter pieces bought elsewhere where the fabric and construction allow; we will tell you honestly at the fitting if a change is not worth attempting, for example taking a heavily beaded bodice in by more than one size.
What we stand behind
This is the part people call a guarantee, so it should be exact. We stand behind two things, because they are ours to control.
Fit through our own alterations. If a piece we altered does not fit as we agreed at your final fitting, bring it back before the wedding and we correct our work at no charge. That covers the work we did. It does not cover a body change of more than the agreed allowance after the final fitting, shoes swapped after hemming, or damage from wear, cleaning or steaming at home.
An honest lead time. We tell you the realistic delivery window for a made-to-order piece before you fall for it, and we tell you when it is too late to order that piece for your date. We will say no to an order we think will not arrive in time rather than take it and hope.
Fabric faults and construction faults in a designer's piece are the designer's to remedy. When one turns up, we report it to the designer on your behalf, with photographs, and chase it. We do not promise the outcome, because the decision is theirs. Nothing in this clause takes away any right you have under Texas or United States consumer law.
What you may not do here
Use the site to ask about pieces and book fittings. Do not send spam, abuse or harassment through the form or the chat; the person reading it is on our staff. Do not try to break into the site, probe it for weaknesses, overload it, or scrape the photographs and text in bulk. Do not submit someone else's name, phone or email without their say-so, and do not use the chat to sell to us. We read every message a person sends, and automated junk wastes the time we would spend answering a real one.
Who owns the words and pictures
The text, the layout and the photographs on aandbebridalshop.us belong to Aandbebridalshop or are used with permission. The a&bé name and logo are our marks. Designs shown in the photographs belong to their designers. You may share a link to a page, and you may save an image for your own wedding planning. You may not republish the photographs or copy, sell or reproduce the designs shown without written permission from whoever owns them.
What is provided as is
The site is provided as it is, and as it is available. We keep the descriptions and spec rows accurate to the samples we carry, but a designer can change a fabric, a trim or a list price without warning us first, and a piece shown may no longer be offered. We do not warrant that the site is free of errors, that it will always be online, or that screen colours match the fabric. The piece in the shop and the order you sign are what count.
Limit of liability
Because the site sells nothing and takes no payment, our liability for your use of the site itself is limited, as far as the law allows, to direct loss you can show we caused, and it does not extend to indirect or consequential loss such as lost bookings or travel. For a piece you order in the shop, our liability is limited to the price you paid us for that piece and for our alteration work on it. We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including a designer's own delays. None of this limits liability that Texas law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud or for injury caused by negligence.
When access can be refused
We may block a device or an address, close a chat conversation or stop replying to inquiries from someone who breaks clause 09, abuses our staff or tries to damage the site. We may also take the site, or part of it, offline for maintenance. We can decline to book an appointment, but never because of who you are, who you are marrying, your body or your gender. Withdrawing access to the site does not cancel an order you have already signed in the shop; that order runs on its own terms.
The law and the courts
These terms run under the law of Texas, United States. A dispute about them, the site or an order from the shop is heard in the courts of Austin, Texas. Before anyone files anything, write to us: most problems with a hem or a delivery date get sorted in one conversation at the shop.
How changes are announced
When we change these terms, we publish the new version on this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. If a change affects how orders or alterations work, we also write to everyone with an open order to tell them what changed. The version in force on the day you sign an order is the one that applies to that order. Earlier versions are available on request by email.
